These slides were used in a presentation in Holly Yang and Yun Lou’s PhD course in Fall 2019 at Singapore Management University. The presentation covered:

1. What is text analytics and NLP
2. How text analytics has evolved in the accounting literature since the 1980s
3. What current (as of 2019) methods are used in the literature.
